Mark Timlin

Research Staff, Irish Grass-Fed Dairy

Mark Timlin (BSc Physical Sciences) is a Walsh Scholar Ph.D. student based in Teagasc Food Research Centre, Moorepark. Mark is currently working under Dr. André Brodkorb in Moorepark and Dr. Niamh Harbourne in UCD, examining the impacts of the typical Irish pasture-based system on the composition and quality of milk and dairy products. This work is being conducted under the Irish Grass-fed Dairy pillar of Food for Health Ireland. The impact of this research will help to develop a critical scientific knowledge base of the Irish dairy production system, which will directly benefit the Irish dairy industry, agri-food sector, farmers, and consumers.
