Emma Shannon (BSc, PGDip) completed her (Hons) in Human Nutrition with a BSc Diploma in Industrial Studies at the University of Ulster, Coleraine and a PGDip in Health Promotion at the National University of Ireland. Emma has many years of experience working within the food industry, having held the position of Head of Healthcare Nutrition in Danone, she was responsible for managing the Scientific Affairs nutrition team, with an active remit in Regulatory Affairs, Consumer Assurance and Crisis Management. At Food for Health Ireland, Emma is committed to working in strong partnerships with our wide community to maximise impact from the research programme and to translate and deliver the science in a purposeful way. Emma will be a strategic support to develop the delivery of a new FHI-4 business programme that will continue to provide evidence-based research to give companies a competitive edge in the global food market.
