Food for Health Ireland is a key part of the Enterprise Ireland/IDA Ireland Technology Centre Programme, in which Irish-based SMEs and multinationals collaborate with research institutions to generate economic value by creating new technologies, products and processes that improve the competitiveness of our industry partners in global markets.

Our Research Programme

Healthy Cheese

Researching the potential metabolic and cardiovascular health benefits of Irish cheese, with a focus on “natural functionality” − the leading global consumer trend in health and wellness food.

Irish Grass-fed Dairy

Creating marketable differentiation on the basis of nutrition, health benefits and sensory attributes.

Fermented Dairy Ingredients

Developing fermented ingredients to enhance digestive health developed using state-of-the-art bioconversion technologies.

Science to Market

Our dedicated commercialisation platform focuses on research with high Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs), working with industry partners to bring products to market that enhance health across all life stages.
