Luccas de Faria

Luccas de Faria (BSc and MSc) has worked in the areas of health promotion and physical exercise since 2013. He received his bachelor’s degree from University of São Paulo (Brazil) where he was involved with human nutrition research and had dietary proteins and hypertrophy as a BSc thesis topic. During his master’s degree (University of Padua, Italy), as an Erasmus student, he dove into research at University College Dublin. His previous study assessed both the differences in taste of various plant versus dairy proteins and the impact of acute strength exercise in taste perceptions and appetite. Luccas joined Food for Health Ireland in 2022, as a research assistant. He is currently working on our study focusing on the effects on appetite in response to whey protein hydrolysate in an elderly population with poor appetite.
