Laura Gunning (BSc Food Science) is a research master’s student working on the Appetite pillar of FHI. The project involves investigating a range of different whey protein powders for bioactive peptides and their associated health benefits such as their influence on appetite. Her previous research experience was developed while completing her final year research project as part of her undergraduate degree, examining the therapeutic benefits of willow bark, and also in the R&D lab of Genius Gluten-Free, Scotland.
